Fabrizio Corona, ex celebrity photographer arrested in January 2013 for the so-called photo-blackmail of footballer David Trezeguet, is officially a free man. He announced it himself a week ago through his Instagram profile, where he shared his emotions with his fans after more than ten years spent in prison, under house arrest, special surveillance, and social services supervision.
“In reality,” he wrote last Saturday, “I have never felt as free as when I was locked inside a cell for years.” Now, according to his statements to La Repubblica and Il Giornale, Fabrizio is ready to enjoy life alongside his girlfriend, Sara Barbieri, with whom he has been living since 2021 and who is 27 years younger than him. “As soon as I have a passport, I want to go to Paris with my girlfriend,” he declared.
Regarding his plans for the future, Fabrizio is more determined than ever: “I want to try to achieve international success, to work on television projects both in Italy and abroad. So far, I have only had popularity, now I want recognition. I am the only person in Italy or in the world who has managed to run companies from jail and generate huge revenues.” However, the former King of the Paparazzi took the opportunity to thank his lawyer, Ivano Chiesa, who has stood by his side all these years, on Instagram.
Lastly, Corona spoke about his loneliness, which he intentionally sought: “At this moment, I am a very lonely person, by choice. And all my best friends, whom I taught a profession, have turned their backs on me. They are finished men. But I don’t rejoice; I only feel pity for them. Photographers, authors, journalists, entrepreneurs, managers, artists.
